Light Up Diamond Valley


Join the town of Diamond Valley on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for Light-Up Diamond Valley, a magical evening of exploration and wonder. Stroll down Government Road and Centre Avenue in the Black Diamond area of Diamond Valley, where local businesses will be illuminating the night with treats and surprises, creating an enchanting shopping experience you won't want to miss.


Sleigh Rides


Looking for a unique winter adventure? Horse-drawn sleigh rides offer a magical experience, taking you to breathtaking landscapes off the beaten path. Sleigh rides provide a nostalgic escape and a chance to see your surroundings in a whole new light. A great idea to give as a gift or a wonderful addition to a holiday get-together. High River Santa Claus Parade


The High River Santa Claus Parade is a tradition for many families to begin their Christmas season. December 6th marks the 39th Annual Parade and a chance to celebrate a magical evening of lights, music, and activities. Skating at the outdoor pop-up skating rink in the park's NW corner continues to be a favourite holiday activity.  Lions Hot Chocolate & Hot Dogs begin at 5:30 PM and the Parade Kicks off at 6:30 PM. 



Private Wild Skating Party


Skating on a frozen lake surrounded by your friends and family, a cozy fire roaring to warm up your toes and a cup of coco from your thermos – can you imagine a more perfect winter day? Moose Mountain offers you the chance to embrace a classic Canadian winter experience with a skating adventure on our private frozen pond! Enjoy a bonfire, bring your own skates, and choose between walking out or taking a cozy tractor-drawn sleigh ride to this winter wonderland.



Light Up Okotoks 


Light Up Okotoks, a beloved tradition since 1992, marks the beginning of the holiday season with the festive lighting of the community Christmas tree. This year's event will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, with festivities spanning the Okotoks downtown core. Enjoy wagon rides, cozy fire pits, enchanting choir performances, extended shopping hours, bustling markets, and much more.

The highlight of the evening, the grand lighting of the towering Christmas tree, will take place at the Old Towne Plaza at 7 PM. A spectacular fireworks display will cap off the night at 9 PM at Lineham Park.


New this year: Take advantage of the convenient bus service! Southland Transportation will offer free rides to and from Light Up Okotoks, departing from the Foothills Centennial Centre and Seaman Stadium/Okotoks Dawgs. This service will operate continuously until 10:30 PM, making it easy to enjoy the festivities without worrying about parking or transportation.

Festive Goat Yoga At Granary Road


Starting November 30, 2024 for 3 weeks on Saturdays & Sundays at 11AM, Granary Road is hosting Festive Goat Yoga where you can enjoy a unique and relaxing yoga session with adorable goats in holiday sweaters! Classes take place in the heated Greenhouse and sell out fast so book today!

The Foothills is full of Holiday Markets that are as magical as they are plentiful. Not necessarily hidden gems, but no Foothills holiday activities list would be complete without their mention.
